To fine tune the refresh rate for your display
Refresh rate refers to the frequency at which the entire screen is refreshed. Specifically, refresh rate indicates how many times per second the electron beam in the picture tube is moved from top to bottom in the case of a CRT (analogue display). Note: This frequency is limited by the display’s maximum horizontal scan rate and the current resolution, as higher resolution implies more scan lines.
Note: You must be an advanced user and have knowledge of display timing concepts in order to work with custom timings for your HDTV display.

From the NVIDIA Control Panel navigation tree pane, under Display, click Change resolution.

Click the image that represents the display you want to affect.

Make your adjustments by either editing an existing custom resolution, or creating a new custom resolution.
Editing an existing custom resolution

Click Customise, then from the list that appears in the Resolutions box, select the custom resolution you want to edit.

Click the edit icon or press Enter on your keyboard.

From the Edit Custom Resolution dialogue box, click the up or down arrows to edit the values in the Refresh rat (Hz) spin box.

Click Test, then if the test passes and you want to save the new mode, click Save.
Creating a new custom resolution

Click Customise, then from the Customise dialog box, click Create Custom Resolutions.

From the Create Custom Resolution dialogue box, click the up or down arrows to edit the values in the Refresh rate (Hz) spin box.

Click Test, then if the test passes and you want to save the new mode, click Save.
Note: The value should not exceed the display’s maximum vertical scanning frequency.
