To display the desktop on your HDTV using interlaced or progressive scanning

NVIDIA note Display the desktop on my HDTV using interlaced or progressive scanningNote: You must be an advanced user and have knowledge of display timing concepts in order to work with custom timings for your HDTV display.

  1. From the NVIDIA Control Panel navigation tree pane, under Display, click Change resolution.

  2. To set interlaced scanning:

    • From the list of HD resolutions, select a resolution with an “i” suffix, such as 1080i, or

    • From the list of custom resolutions, select a custom resolution that contains the word “interlaced”.

  3. To set progressive timing:

    • From the list of HD resolutions, select a resolution with a “p” suffix, such as 1080p, or

    • From the list of custom resolutions, select a custom resolution that contains the word “progressive”.

You can create custom resolutions using the procedure in Create a Custom Resolution for an HDTV, making sure to select the correct scanning mode from the Scan type list in the Create Custom Resolutions dialogue.
