To apply Discrete Monitor Timing standards (DMT) to your display

  1. From the NVIDIA Control Panel navigation tree pane, under Display, click Change resolution.

  2. Click the image that represents the display you want to affect.

  3. Click Customise, then from the Customise dialogue box, click Create Custom Resolutions.

  4. Click the Timing Standard list arrow and select GTF.

  5. DMT is a set of pre-defined VESA timings. VESA updates this standard every year. If DMT timing is available for a specific mode, the NVIDIA display driver normally selects it instead of General Timing Formula (GTF).

  6. Click Test, then if the test passes and you want to save the new mode, click Save.
